Last September 23, Doula Noelle Polack collaborated with Dr. Faye Cagayan , creator of Sayuntis (Sayaw ng Buntis) and Ms. Melanie Brillantes, professional dance instructor, on one of the four pre-convention workshops of the 20th Federation of Asia and Oceania Perinatal Societies Congress and 27th Perinatal Association of the Philippines Annual Convention.
Obstetricians and midwives listened to the talk on physiologic birth and natural methods of making the process more positive and comfortable for the mother: choosing the right words, using effective breathing techniques, yoga, exercise, massage, and aromatherapy. Of course, the session would not have been complete without a crash course in Sayuntis for all delegates!
